In this interview, we chat with Chrissy about her favorite beach destinations, swimwear trends, and skincare secrets.
Q: Hi Chrissy! Thanks for taking the time to speak with us today. We’re huge fans of your work and your sense of fashion. Let’s start by talking about some of your favorite beach destinations. Where do you love to go when you want to relax on the sand?
A: Hi there! Thank you for having me. I absolutely love going to tropical places like Bali or Hawaii where I can soak up the sun and feel completely relaxed. There’s something so peaceful about being surrounded by crystal blue water and palm trees swaying in the breeze.
Q: That sounds amazing! What are some must-have items that you always pack in your beach bag?
A: Oh gosh, there are so many things that I can’t live without on a beach day! Of course, sunscreen is number one – I always make sure to protect my skin from harmful UV rays with a high-quality sunscreen like Supergoop!. Sunglasses are also essential for keeping my eyes safe from bright sunlight while looking stylish at the same time.
In terms of clothing items, I always bring a cute cover-up or sarong that can easily be thrown on over my swimsuit if I need a break from the sun or want to grab lunch at a nearby restaurant. A big hat is another must-have accessory that not only protects my face but adds an extra level of glamour to any outfit!
Q: Speaking of swimsuits – what are some swimwear trends that you’re loving right now?
A: I’m definitely a fan of one-piece swimsuits, especially those with unique cutouts or interesting details. They’re so comfortable to wear and can be just as sexy as a bikini if styled correctly. I also love high-waisted bikinis that accentuate the waistline and create a flattering silhouette.
Another trend that I’ve been seeing more of lately is sustainable swimwear made from eco-friendly materials. It’s important to me to support brands that prioritize sustainability and take steps towards reducing their impact on the environment.
Q: You always seem to have flawless skin – what are some of your skincare secrets for maintaining such a beautiful complexion?
A: Thank you! Honestly, my biggest skincare secret is simply staying consistent with my routine. I make sure to cleanse, tone, and moisturize every day without fail. Additionally, I try to get enough sleep (although it can be tough with two young kids!) and drink plenty of water throughout the day.
One product that has really helped keep my skin looking bright and youthful is vitamin C serum. It’s packed full of antioxidants which help protect against damage from environmental stressors like pollution or sun exposure.
Q: That’s great advice! Do you have any tips for women who might feel self-conscious about wearing revealing beachwear?
A: The most important thing is to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident! Don’t worry too much about what other people might think – at the end of the day, you should dress in a way that makes YOU happy.
If you’re feeling self-conscious about showing too much skin, try layering with a cute cover-up or opting for a high-waisted bikini bottom instead of a low-rise style. And remember – there’s no shame in rocking an oversized hat or sunglasses if it helps boost your confidence!
Q: Finally – what exciting projects do you have coming up next? Anything we can look forward to?
A: Yes! I’m so excited about my new cookbook that’s coming out soon. It’s called “Cravings: All Together” and features some of my favorite recipes from all three of the previous Cravings cookbooks, plus a bunch of new ones too. I can’t wait for people to try them out!
I’m also working on a few other projects that I can’t quite talk about yet, but stay tuned – there are definitely some exciting things in the works.
